General FAQ

A. Yes, Bergen County Horse Rescue is a 501(c)(3) organization. We were established in 2016.

A. We love visitors stopping by to see our horses but we kindly ask that you visit our website and book a tour, a grooming session, or by sending us an email about visiting. The rescue is on private property and there are residents who live on the property. Visits are by appointment only.

A. All of our horses have different diets and dietary restrictions, so we kindly ask you don’t feed our horses unless you have permission to do so.

A. Yes, we have 3 goats: Lily, Holly, and Noelle. Lily has been with us the longest while Noelle and Holly arrived in December 2023. We are a rescue and sanctuary for horses but if there are other animals that need a home we can either accommodate or help you get to the best point of contact.

A. At this time, we are at full capacity but we can assist in helping find a home elsewhere.

A: Fundraising Events on and off-site, grooming sessions, tours, community events, sponsorship opportunities, volunteer opportunities.

A. Anyone who is over 18 years of age can book a session. If the session if for a minor then an adult must be present and engaged at all times.
