Every horse who arrives at Bergen County Horse Rescue & Sanctuary carries a story. Some have experienced neglect, abandonment or years of hardship. Others are aging or living with medical conditions that require ongoing, specialized care. Here, they are given more than a safe place to land. They receive nourishing food, veterinary and farrier care, peaceful pastures, companionship and the freedom to simply be horses.

As a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization, we rely on the generosity of our community to continue caring for each horse—mind, body and soul. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps provide the stability, dignity and lifelong sanctuary they deserve.
