An Experience to Remember
There is something special about meeting a horse in the place where they feel safe enough to simply be themselves.
A visit here is more than a good deed. It offers an opportunity to slow down, spend time in nature and get to know the wonderful horses who call our farm home. Whether you join us for a guided tour or a hands-on grooming session, you will leave with a deeper understanding of horses, sanctuary life and the care it takes to help a rescued animal feel safe again. Every scheduled visit also helps support the ongoing care of our herd.
Before You Visit
A Few Things to Know
For the safety of our visitors and the well-being of our horses, all visits must be scheduled and confirmed in advance. The rescue is located on private property and cannot accommodate unscheduled visitors.
Before Arriving
Complete the BCHR Visitor Waiver.
Wear comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes or boots.
Dress appropriately for the weather.
Consider bringing sunscreen, a hat and insect repellent.
Bring bottled water, especially during warmer months.
While at the Farm
Stay with your guide and group throughout your visit.
Children must remain with their parent or guardian.
Do not climb or sit on fences.
Do not feed the horses.
Leave pets at home.
Avoid umbrellas, noisy toys and other objects that could startle the horses.
Photography is welcome.
In the event of inclement weather, your guide will contact you to reschedule your appointment.

No. The rescue is located on private property, and all visits must be scheduled and confirmed in advance.

Tours generally last between 60 and 75 minutes.

No. Each horse has individual dietary needs and restrictions, so visitors may not feed the horses.

Yes. Visitors are welcome to take photographs and share their experience on social media.

If weather conditions make the visit unsafe or uncomfortable, your guide will contact you to reschedule.

No. Pets are not permitted during tours or grooming sessions.
