Trot Into Spring

Mark your calendars now for our annual Trot into Spring event to be held on Saturday, March 24

Wander the farm in search of special hidden eggs during our three Easter egg hunts! There will also be food trucks, face painting for the kids, music and crafts and our friends from Northstar Pet Rescue. You’ll get to meet our rescues, goats and chickens and tour the farm, too. Help us welcome spring at the farm at our popular Trot into Spring event in March!

While you’re at the farm, be sure to visit our country store to buy equestrian-themed gift items, books, hand-crafted treasures and more.  Be sure to pick up a BCHR t-shirt or sweatshirt to show your support for these beautiful horses. All proceeds help us care for our horses mind, body and soul.

Rain date Sunday, March 25

Annual BCHR Holiday Celebration

Dogs and horses..what a perfect way to begin the holidays!

Santa officially arrived at the BCHR in early December to take photos with local children. Oscar was a huge help and stood by Santa to help greet the kids!

The Northstar Pet Rescue brought adorable dogs of all sizes wearing festive Christmas sweaters, and these pups were loved and cuddled by everyone at the farm. Visitors also enjoyed hot chocolate, snacks, music and bought hand-crafted live fur wreaths created by our volunteers.

TJ Clibborn at Bergen County Horse Rescue

TJ Clibborn will be visiting the rescue all the way from his home state of Wisconsin to work with some of our more challenging new rescues.

For the last 40 years I have worked with Colts of all breeds and have found that horses never lie they don't have this concept, unlike the human and as such I find that the people are the hardest to deal with because they want it now, and the horse don't learn that way. They have to learn to trust first and I say with trust anything is possible, I like to think that my program teaches ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

Clibborn was born in Glen Innes Australia and moved to the states in 1990 where he started the True Partnership Inc way of training. He specializes in training colts for all types of completions, and has trained:
Several jumping champion
·         2010 reserve trail champion in MN contest
·         2011 colt extreme trail champion
·         2012 trail champion in hand at Ft Worth
·         2013 reserve champion in Madison
